Bringing the Kraków Experience Stateside
Sarah directed the Archdiocese of Washington's communication outreach and campaign strategy for the 2016 World Youth Day celebration. Her responsibilities included concept development and project oversight of all print and digital materials associated with Kraków in the Capital, our country's largest World Youth Day stateside celebration. Sarah supported the Catholic Standard, the Archdiocese of Washington's newspaper, in developing content for it's print editions and online platforms. In addition, she collaborated with the archdiocesan office of multimedia production in developing a plan for capturing video footage of the stateside celebration. Sarah brought her expertise in storytelling through live social media coverage to Poland where she connected with digital pilgrims back in the United States. Her coverage yielded over 60,000 direct engagements and over 185,000 mobile video views. This placed the archdiocese as one of World Youth Day's leading digital voices, surpassing national and international Catholic media outlets. Highlights from live coverage can be viewed here.
